The Philodendron Xanadu, sometimes referred to as Philodendron “Winterbourn”, is a large compact easy-to-grow plant.
Unlike many philodendrons, such as monster deliciosa, the Xanadu is an upright plant, not a climber or vine. As the leaves continue to change with age, this philodendron just keeps looking better as it grows.
Each shiny, green, leathery leaf has 15-20 distinct lobes and is often wider than it is tall, reaching a height of 2-4ft. and a width of 3-5ft in preferred conditions.
Native to Central America and South America your Philodendron has other benefits besides just making your home look desirable. According to NASA studies on air quality, Philodendrons are among the best houseplants for removing formaldehyde from the air, especially at higher concentrations.
Philodendron leaves and stems are high in calcium oxalate. This can be toxic to both people and animals when eaten. Seek immediate medical help if you suspect poisoning.
Philodendron ‘Xanadu’
Lighting: Philodendrons typically grow best in partial sunlight, naturally receiving dappled light under a tropical canopy. Too much light can cause many of the leaves to turn yellow. Only a few leaves yellowing is typically just normal ageing.
Watering: Your Philodendron will like a moderate amount of soil moisture. Water whenever the top inch of soil has dried out.

Absolutely stunning plant. So so healthy, clearly well cared for and in a greenhouse where there aren’t any bugs. The cards are wonderful, the shipping was super duper fast, and the plants were healthy.
The staff were amazing, too. There was a glitch on their site and I’d purchased a plant that wasn’t actually available. They refunded the money immediately and emailed me to let me know of the error.
Definitely will be a regular customer. Just take my cc now.
