Success of Wells Of Hope
26 Deep-Water Wells
Wells of Hope has successfully drilled 26 deep-water wells in these water-starved communities, ranging in depth from six hundred to one thousand two hundred feet. As a result, there are now tens of thousands of Guatemalans receiving reliable, clean water directly to their homes. Where there was once no hope, people’s lives have changed dramatically.
20 Schools
Over the last thirteen years Wells of Hope has built and equipped twenty schools. There has also been a literacy pilot program implemented to raise reading levels in primary grades, providing children the capacity to continue their education and break the cycle of poverty.
Medical Support
Wells of Hope has become an avenue for many dentists and doctors from Southern Ontario to come to Guatemala on a volunteer basis and minister to those who cannot otherwise afford medical attention.
Travelling Medical & Dental
The Wells of Hope team organizes medical and dental clinics in the rural mountain communities and the visiting medical teams spend long days relieving the nightmare of pain that many have been forced to endure.
